Wow, I almost forgot I even had this. I plan to update it more often now that it's summer and frankly, I have nothing else to do. Well, I figure I'll start with what I did this past weekend and go from there.
Saturday: Went to Sears with my dad and bought a treadmill, got a good deal on it because the floor model was the only one left so we took that one. We arranged to get it delivered the following Wednesday. After that we went to Red Bank so I could use the Jack's Music gift cards I got for my birthday that I never got to use. I got 3 CDs: Mezmerize by System of a Down, Say Hello to Sunshine by Finch, and Who Killed...The Zutons? by The Zutons. They're all damn good. Thanks for the cards Sam and Jess(a little late, I know). Next we went to Murphy Style Grill and I had the best damn cheeseburger I have ever eaten; fries were good, too. Then we went to Shoprite and home. All in all it was a pretty good day.
Sunday: Easily the best day of the summer so far. Woke up around 8 and got dressed around 9. Left for Savy's house around 9:30 and got there a little after 10. We left from his house about 10:30 and set out for Williamsburg Brooklyn for the annual Feast of the Giglio at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. When I got there I was like a little kid on Christmas. First of all, it was just awesome to be around so many guineas like myself. Second, it was huge. Whole streets were closed off and stands were everywhere and everything just smelled so good. Third, I couldn't believe the good spot we had set up. After we set up the tables and stuff we headed a few blocks away to Tony's Pizzeria. I had 2 slices and a small Lemon Ice. There is nothing like Brooklyn pizza no matter what anyone says, it tasted so damn good. Then we went back and bought a shitload of zeppoles for Savy's friends and family and for us of course. They too were practically orgasmic(I don't usually describe food this way because it's kinda fruity but if you had eaten these you would have known there is no other word to describe them). While this was going on we met a news reporter from Channel 11 WB News and Savy's cousin's friend, boxer Vinny Madalone who was a really nice guy. Also the biggest part of the day happened, the procession of the Giglio statue/tower thing. It's a 50 foot, 3 ton tower with models of saints on it as well as a full band, singer and priest that is carried throughout the street by the Giglio lifters for a few hours. It was absolutely ridiculous. After that I sorta wandered off by myself for a little while, winning a Sopranos picture and buying a t-shirt, bracelet, and other odds-and-ends for myself. Soon after that, we left. At 10 that night I watched WB News at 10 and sure enough you could see Savy and Andrew. Although Savy would not have been in the picture had I not pushed him into it. And so ended my first Feast of the Giglio and frankly, it was amazing.
Monday and Tuesday: I have no idea what the fuck I did, but I'm pretty sure whatever I did was fun.
Today: For whatever reason I woke up at like 8. I was pretty pissed. So I went into the living room and played some games on the computer until about 11:30. Then the treadmill was delivered and set up. It looks good. After that I played some more computer games on the-n.com. They're so lame but so fun. One is a high school where you control 8 people and you can mess with the and shit, it's funny as hell. I gave everyone B.O. at the same time and all you say was stink lines everywhere. I also played this turn based prom game where you had to make people happy and stuff. They had hit points and it was basically like Final Fantasy which explains why I liked it. At 2:30 Rob came over and I got him addicted to those games, too. He laughed so hard at the stuff you could do to people on Avatar High. Then we chilled and watched some Maximum Exposure which is one of the greatest shows of all time. Then he left and I had KFC for dinner followed up by a half an hour on the treadmill. I thought I was gonna die but it was rewarding when I was done.
Well that's it, I'm out.
